Wynola A. Phillips of Forest City, formerly of East Benton, died Monday morning at Forest City Nursing Facility. She was the widow of John "Bert" Phillips, who died in 1981.

Born in Greenfield Twp., daughter of the late Dan and Amanda Bell Peck, she was a resident of the East Benton area for 58 years. She was the housekeeper for C. Wells and Constance Belin for 30 years and was a member of Worth Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Lenita Schafer, Princeton, Mass.; and Delores Mauser, Marathon, N.Y.; two sons, Gary Phillips, Carbondale; and Edward Phillips, Piedmont, S.C.; a stepson, William Phillips, Norfolk, Va.; a brother, Robert Peck, Jermyn; and 13 grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Stratton Peck; and three sisters, Eva and Cora Peck and Myra Johnson.

The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. Steve Mauser, her son-in-law; the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Phillips, her grandson; and the Rev. Brian Cetton.
