After a life well lived and surrounded by love, Winnie Muller, 93, of Lake Winola, PA, passed away on Nov. 3, 2016 . She was the beloved wife of the late, Wesley B Muller, RPh.
Born in Fleetwood, PA, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Irene Rhoads and sister of the late Jean Ream.
Winnie was a graduate of Fleetwood High School. During WWII, she served her country as a proud and loyal WAVE in the United States Navy. After training at Hunter College, NY, she was stationed in Washington, DC where she worked with military coding.
She is survived by her Gute Kinder: Nancy (Allen), Eileen (Roy), James (Joanie) and Linda. Her son, Bruce, preceded her in death.
As a loving Nana, she called her grandchildren her "chickadees." They are: Gretchen, Heidi, Annaliese, Lauren, Justin, Corey (Nicole), Alexander, Jacob and Madison. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Winnie was a member of the Clark's Green United Methodist Church and the Scranton Canoe Club. As an avid golfer, she shot a hole-in-one.
Her kindness, constant loving support, and her humor and wit are what she will be remembered for. Her "Good Children" love her and miss her and are eternally grateful for her having been their mother.
A Celebration of Life will held Friday, November 25, from 1:30 - 3:30 at Sidel's Restaurant, 1202 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
