William Martin McDonald, 67, of Tunkhannock, died Tuesday morning at Allied Services, from lung cancer. His wife is the former Teresa "Terry" Cervini.
Originally from Rockville Centre, N.Y., he moved to the Scranton area in 1988 with his wife and four children. Before retiring to Tunkhannock, Bill and Terry lived in Clarks Summit. Together they owned and operated Sir Speedy Printing on North Washington Avenue in Scranton. Bill was a president of the Scranton Rotary and an active member with nearly two decades of service to the Greater Scranton community. He was a resident of Clarks Summit for 18 years and a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church.
He passed peacefully on St. Patrick's Day with his wife at his side. His children where the blessings of their life together. He will also be missed by his big, loving Irish family.
Surviving are four children, William Jr., Geneva, Switzerland; Christiane, Annapolis, Md.; John and wife, Carrie Snell McDonald, Harvey's Lake; and Andrew and wife, Rachel Heller McDonald, and two grandchildren, Madison and Lochlain, all of Ransom Twp.; and six siblings, Michael, Peter, Dennis, Thomas, Katy and David, and their families.
Friends may call Friday, 3 to 4 p.m., at Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 4 by Monsignor John Cervini, his brother-in-law.
