William A. Lees Jr., Clarks Summit, died Friday afternoon at Willowbrook in South Abington Twp. His wife is the former Doris Bigelow. The couple was married more than 60 years.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late William A. Sr. and Helen Naumann Lees Sr. Before his retirement, he was the chief operating officer for PNC Bank in Scranton and was later employed with Citizens Savings Bank in Clarks Summit for five years. He was a member of the Clarks Summit First Presbyterian Church and a veteran of the Army .

Bill enjoyed having lunch with his friends and going to the Red Barons games. He especially liked vacationing with his daughter and spending time with his grandkids.

Also surviving are a daughter, Rindy Lees, Emmaus; a son, Warren A. Lees and his wife, Cindy, Spring Brook Twp.; a brother, Jim Lees and his wife, Carol, Cherry Hill, N.J.; a sister, Barbara Rogers, Shavertown; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Melissa Lees, Spring Brook Twp.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Willowbrook and the nurses of Traditional Health and Hospice for the wonderful care given to Bill.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at noon at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, by the Rev. William Carter, pastor of the Clarks Summit First Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Abington Hills Cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday from 10 until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation , 13 Sunflower Ave., Paramus, NJ 07652; or the Clarks Summit First Presbyterian Church, 300 School St., Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
