William Draim, 61, Clarks Summit died Wednesday morning at the Regional Hospital, Scranton. His wife is the former Ann Smith, the couple had been married 21 years.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Eleanor Avasine Draim, Olyphant, and the late John Draim who died in 1998.
He was a 1971 graduate of Dunmore Central Catholic High School and attended Penn State University. He was employed by Kenworth of PA for over 33 years. He was a member of Clark Summit United Methodist Church and was a member of several community organizations.
He enjoyed skiing, biking and fishing every Saturday morning. He was an avid Penn State fan who never missed a home game at Beaver Stadium. His greatest joy in life was listening to his daughter singing and playing the violin.
Also surviving are a daughter Marissa Draim, Clarks Summit; a sister, Jacqueline Musyt and her husband, John, Olyphant; two nephews, Dr. Jonathan Musyt and Jeffrey Musyt; and his cat Peeps, his faithful companion; several aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as many friends.
Funeral service will be Monday at 10 am at the Clarks Summit Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, Clarks Summit with services by Rev. Amy Raser. All those attending are asked to go directly to the church. Interment to follow SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Scranton.
Friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 7 at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 So. State St., Clarks Summit, PA
