William Kent Davies, 71, of Scranton, died Sunday at the Gino Merli Veterans Center after a long illness. He was the husband of Cheryl (Christ) Davies.
Born in Scranton on May 11, 1947, he was the son of the late William and Lois Mitchell Davies. He was a graduate West Scranton High School and was a proud United States Marine who served during the Vietnam War. Later in his life, he worked as a driver for Colts and Martz Trailways.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family.
Also surviving are a daughter, Dawn Ayers, and husband Rick; grandchildren Richard and Nathan Ayers; brothers Ronald, Scranton and Larry, Ohio; nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 11 am at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Township.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
