William C. Pratt, Clarks Summit and Bradenton, Fla., died Thursday at the Gino Merli Veterans Center, Scranton. His wife is the former Janice Linn. The couple was married for 64 years.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Stanley and Anna Leyh Pratt. Before retiring, he was a printer for Eureka Specialty Printing for 30 years, later becoming Panel Prints. He was a member of the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, Waverly Masonic Lodge 301 and Clarks Summit VFW Post 7069. He was a life member of the DAV, Guadal- canal Campaign Veterans Association and the 1st Marine Division.
He loved spending time with his family, bowling and hunting. He was proud to be a Marine. William was instrumental in organizing the Memorial Day parade in Clarks Summit and continued to do so for many years.

Also surviving are two sons, Gary Pratt, Louisville, Ky.; and Jeff and wife, Lynn Pratt, Stafford, Va.; two daughters, Gail James and husband, Robert, Clarks Summit; and Kim Taylor and husband, Clay, Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Pratt, Ohio; seven granddaughters, Rhonda Greathouse and husband, Braxton; Cheryl Riffel and husband, Daryl; Tracy John and husband, Paul; Shannon Cleary her husband, James; Jacqui Brust and husband, Mike; Lyndsay and Melissa Taylor; two grandsons, Russell Pratt and wife, Christi, and Matthew James and fiancée, Danielle Cadden; and 15 great-grandchildren, Braxton, Byron and Brenton Greathouse, Matthias, Dustyn and Forest Pratt, Matthew Cleary, Jennifer and Ashleigh John, Brady, Leandra and James Brust, Hunter James, Karyn and Tarah Riffel.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, with services by the Rev. Judy Wanck, pastor, and the Rev. Wayne Pratt, nephew and pastor of the Keo Kee Chapel, Cresco. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
Friends may call Monday, 4 to 8 p.m., at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
