Wilhelmina "Billie" Bevacqua, 100, of Archbald, died on Thursday morning at Abington Manor, Clarks Summit.
Born in Archbald on July 25, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Touch Bevacqua. Prior to retirement, she worked as a secretary. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, book clubs, and shopping in New York on her lunch hour. She was a member of Christ the King, Archbald.
She is survived by brother, Frank, Jr., Florida; and a niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Louise, Mary, Rose, Kathleen, and Constance; and a brother Thomas.
A thank you to the staff at Abington Manor, especially her nurse, Mary Carroll.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Christ the King, 429 Church St., Archbald with interment to follow at the parish cemetery. All who are attending the mass are asked to go directly to the church. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit. As Billie would say, "Toodle loo"!
