Wendell P. Hall
Wendell P. Hall, 60, of Clarks Summit, died Sunday night in Moses Taylor Hospital. His wife is the former Mai Thi Lien.
Born in Scranton, son of Evelyn Hall, Glenburn Township, and the late Robert Hall, he was a 1965 graduate of Abington Heights High School. He was a six-year Navy veteran of the Vietnam era, receiving the National Defense Medal; the Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze stars; and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He served on the USS Bainbridge nuclear cruiser as an electrical repairman. He was employed as lineman technician for Northeast Cable Co. and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Abington and the Glenburn Sportsman's Club.
Wendell was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and his yellow Labrador, Buddy.
Surviving are three sons, Christopher B., Clarks Summit; Bryan P., Manhattan; and Robert J., Clarks Summit; a brother Gregory, Glenburn Township; a sister, Alison Hall Johnson, Dalton; a niece, a nephew, two great-nieces and two great-nephews.
A memorial service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Abington, Main Street and Carbondale Road, Waverly, with services by the Rev. Paul J. Fields, pastor; and Jack Race.
