Warren H. Dunn, 89, of Dalton, died Wednesday morning surrounded by his family at his home. He was the husband of Doreen Carpenter Dunn. They were married for over 66 years.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Harold and Irene Robacker Dunn.He was a graduate of Scranton Tech High School and was a proud Navy veteran who served in the Pacific theater of World War II. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machine operator for Eureka Printing.

Warren was a member of the Dalton United Methodist Church, a life member of the Abington Memorial VFW Post 7069, and also a life member of the Dalton Fire Company.

Also surviving is a son, Jim Dunn and wife, Annette, Hunlock Creek; a daughter, Kay O'Connor and husband, Marty, Waverly; four grandchildren Stephen O'Connor and fiancée, Meghan, Michael O'Connor and wife, Elena; Jason Dunn and fiancée, Amy, and Cody Dunn; four great-grandchildren Lila, Michael Jr., Vivian and Aiden; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, William Dunn.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19 at 5 pm from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 to 5 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dalton Fire Company, 109 S. Turnpike Road, Dalton, PA 18414.
