Wanda Lee D'Adamo, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday at her home after a long illness. She was the wife of Dennis D'Adamo. The couple has been married for 28 wonderful years.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Dorothy Wesley Silfee. Before retirement, she was an outpatient registrar for Allied Services in Scranton. She was a member of Waverly Community Church.

Wanda was an avid reader and enjoyed reading and camping with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Also surviving are four sons, John Vaow, Tunkhannock; Tony Vaow, Illinois; and Denny and Michael D'Adamo, both of North Carolina; three daughters, Tammy Tragis, Nicholson; Kimberly Stofko, Pittston; and Chrissy D'Adamo, North Carolina; four sisters, Delilah Han Houten, Laceyville; Judy Strohl, Tunkhannock; Cathy Cox, North Carolina; and Betty Sickler, Baumount; three brothers, George Silfee, Laceyville; Gary Silfee, Nicholson; and Bob Silfee, Mildred; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Rick Silfee; and a grandson, Jamie Noble.

The funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. James Cohen, pastor. Interment in Valley View Cemetery in Montdale.

Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
