Vivian White Mayo, 87, passed away Nov. 15, 2015, at Regional Hospital of Scranton.
She was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Clarks Summit, the daughter of Eber and Letha Wheeler White. On Dec. 29, 1956, she married Alvin H. Mayo, at Clarks Green United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Mayo was retired from Faxton Hospital, Utica, N.Y., where she worked in the pharmacy. She was a former member of Central United Methodist Church, Utica. Currently, she was a member of Clarks Summit United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Alvin H. Mayo, Scranton; two daughters, Michelle and husband, John Hillenkamp, Cypress, Texas; and their children, Mason, Aria, and Miles, and Vicki and husband, Edward Holmes, Oriskany, N.Y.; and their children, Stephen Sheppard Jr. and Travis Holmes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, and by her brother, Clifford White.
The Mayo family would like to thank the nurses at Moses Taylor Hospital, and especially the Regional Hospital staff, doctors and caregivers of the ICU and the nurses on the Fourth Floor.
Funeral services will be Thursday, 4 p.m., at Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Whitesboro. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Interment in Grand View Cemetery, Whitesboro, will take place at the convenience of the family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, 1 p.m., at Clarks Summit United Methodist Church.
