Vito F. Guast, formerly of North Abington Township, died Tuesday afternoon at Western Wake Hospital, North Carolina.
Born in Waverly, son of the late Frank and Maria Maldarella Guast, he lived in North Abington Township for most of his life. Before retiring, he was employed by Scranton Wilbert Vault. He previously worked at Keystone Vault Co., Scranton, and a was a printer for Haddon Craftsmen. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a 32nd-degree Mason with Factoryville Lodge No. 341, Free and Accepted Masons. He was also a member of the Abington Consistory.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan, Clarks Summit; and a sister, Antonette Howes, Holly Springs, N.C.
A graveside service will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly.?
Arrangements, Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
