Victor O. Petersen of Dalton died Friday evening at Mercy Hospital. His wife of 44 years is the former Adele Baust.
Born in Factoryville, son of the late Victor O. and Vannie Lindsey, he was self-employed in the upholstery business before retirement. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, having served in the European theater and Africa. He was the recipient of the American Service Medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Waverly.
Also surviving is a son Eric, Factoryville.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Janet Townsend and Norma Watkins.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 p.m. in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. Ken Knapp, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Waverly. Interment, Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly.
