Velma P. Longcor, Clarks Summit died January 1  at the Giesinger Community Medical Center. She was the widow of Walter Longcor who passed in 2008.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Velma Hinchliff Tradesco. Prior to her retirement she was employed as an office clerk for Lady Manhattan, Scranton. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit.
Velma enjoyed golf, bowling and tennis. The biggest joy in her life was her granddaughter and great grandchildren.
Surviving are a son, Walter Longcor Jr.; a daughter Velma Burkhardt; granddaughter Dawn and spouse, Lori Coleman; great grandchildren, Victoria, Alexa, Kyra, Crystal Longcor; and her favorite nephew, William Longcore as well as other nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by brothers, Daniel, Raymond, Ralph and Carl Tradesco; sisters, Eleanor Covey, and Carla Tradesco.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11am at The First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit. Services will be by Rev. William Carter. Friends may call from 10 am until the time of the service at the church.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
