Valerie Evans Coleburn, Limerick, passed away Wednesday at the Penn Hospice in Philadelphia.
Born in Baltimore MD, she was the daughter of George Wallace and Suzanne Evans Coleburn of Berlin, MD. Worked as a chemist in research and development for PPD Research. She attended Garnet Valley High School and then graduated from Ursinus College. She was an avid animal lover and worked with several area animal rescues to find homes for animals in need of a good home.
Also surviving are a sister Alexandra Tompkins and her husband Sean of Ransom Twp.; a brother Douglas Coleburn and his wife Michelle, Brentwood TN; nieces and nephews , Erin Dixon, Willoughby Burnell, Shea Tompkins, William Coleburn and Brooke Coleburn.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, 256 Swamp Pike Schwenksville, PA 19473 at 10:30am on November 21. Interment will follow at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA. To leave on online condolence, visit the funeral home website.
