Todd William Van Fleet, 35, of Dalton, died Tuesday after fighting a long battle with heart problems complicated by a traumatic brain injury in 2006.
Born March 1, 1975, he was the son of Cathy Boyan Van Fleet and the late Dale Van Fleet. A 1993 graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School, Todd attended Providence College in Rhode Island, where he received a bachelor's degree in finance.
This led him to Wall Street, first as an intern then as a professional working at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Some of his other career experiences included working for his late father's company, Van Fleet Construction, Erie Materials and bartending at the Jersey Shore.
Todd will be greatly missed by his devoted mother, loving family and friends for his great sense of humor and quick wit. He was truly one of a kind.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Waverly United Methodist Church.
Friends may call from 1 until the time of the service at the church. Memorials may be sent to the Acquired Brain Injury Network of PA (ABIN-PA), 2275 Glenview Dr., Lansdale PA 19446.
