Listen to Obituary

Timothy Michael Foley, 67, of Clarks Summit, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018, at home. Born in Scranton, he was the son of Margaret Foley and the late Thomas Foley.

Surviving are his three children: Norah Foley, Durham, NC; Conor Foley, Bonita Springs, FL; and Cuinn Foley, Pittsburgh, PA. He was also survived by siblings: Thomas Foley, Havertown, PA; Mary Claire Higgins, Dunmore, PA; Judith Mawn, Dunmore, PA; Jack Foley, Factoryville, PA; James Foley, Factoryville, PA; Jerome Foley, Pocono Lake, PA; Joseph Foley, Scranton, PA; and Anne Marie Yaulch, Verona, NJ.

Tim wore his Irish pride on his sleeve and was a captivating storyteller. Being a self-proclaimed clothes horse with an eye for great style, he was admired for his dashing fashion. He could be stubborn and cantankerous at times, but his love for his family was boundless. Always quick with a joke, he enjoyed making everyone laugh. He was before his time in his acceptance of all people, and instilled those beliefs in his children.

Tim had immense pride in his children and was their biggest fan in any endeavor they pursued. Being a sports enthusiast, he loved cheering for his kids and volunteered to coach many of their teams.

His sense of humor, wise perspective, and caring advice will be sorely missed by all of his family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday at 10am from Saint Paul Parish, 1510 Penn Ave, Scranton, PA 18509.  Friends may call on Monday morning from 9am until the time of Mass at the church.
