Listen to Obituary
Timothy Ian Deery, 21, a resident of St. Joseph's Center, formerly of Clarks Summit, died Thursday afternoon in Geisinger Hospital, Plains Township.

Born Dec. 3, 1986, in Stony Brook, N.Y., son of Brian and Emilie Deery, Clarks Summit, he was a resident of St. Joseph's Center for the past five years and was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit. He attended Jefferson Center, Dunmore.

Timmy lived a full life and touched many hearts. He loved music, especially Raffi, and could engage anyone with his smile and laughter. Many thanks and acknowledgements go out to his aunts, uncles, cousins, teachers, nurses, aides and caregivers for their heartfelt love.

The family offers this prayer: "Our Dear Lord, thank you for the precious gift that Timothy's life represented to us all. For a child that could not speak, he spoke love to us all. You allowed us to share Timmy's life with so many caring people because of his many needs, and for that we are eternally grateful. We were all blessed by Timmy's time on Earth because it allowed us to see the very best of humanity and provided a glimpse of the heavenly love that we shall inherit through Christ our Lord. Amen."

Also surviving are two brothers, Raymond J., Carbondale; and Matthew S., Scranton; and his maternal grandfather, Theodore W. Krasinski, Coram, N.Y.
