Thomas Allen Walter, 72, Falls, died Tuesday morning at his home. His wife is the former Carole Gryczko, the couple married in 1960.
Born in Falls, he was the son of the late Ira Jefferson Walter and Hazel Rachel Coolbaugh Walter. Prior to his retirement he worked for Proctor & Gamble for over 23 years.
He loved fishing, hunting and the outdoors, especially spending time under his cherry tree. But most of all he adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Also surviving are two daughters Debra Vincent and her husband Frank Vincent and Barbara Walter; two sons, Wayne Walter and his wife Pat, and David Walter and his wife Robyn; three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; four sisters, Leetha Raught, Tucson Az., Joann Cieslak and husband Richard Cieslak, Old Forge, Susan Bauman, Scranton, and Judy Lancaster and husband Steven, Falls; a brother Robert Walter and wife Betty, Falls
He was preceded in death by a brother Charlie Walter.
Friends may call Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
