Thomas Thomas, 97, of Clarks Summit, died Monday in Moses Taylor Hospital.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Robert B. and Catherine Powell Thomas. Before retiring, he worked for Scranton School District in maintenance. An Army veteran who served in World War II, he was a member, former usher and trustee of Jackson Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Catherine Thomas, with whom he resided; a nephew, Paul Thomas, Port Orange, Fla.; two great-nieces, Sharon and Sandra; and caregivers, Richard, Desiree, Danielle and Dawn Warnken.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, William, Robert and Paul.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Friends may call today, 6 to 8 p.m.
