Thomas A. Crispino, Newton Twp., died Friday after a courageous battle with cancer. His wife is the former Donna M. Rossi. The couple would have celebrated their 45th anniversary on June 27.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Leo and Jennie Paradise Crispino, he was the foreman of the maintenance department for the Clarks Summit State Hospital before retiring. He will always be remembered for the welcoming stone sign he erected as you turn into the hospital. He was a member of St. Benedict's Church, co-founder of the International Camaro Club and earned the USA-1 red white and blue Concourse Awards. He was an official judge for Camaros in the East as well as Detroit.
Also surviving are a daughter, Margo Azzarelli and husband, Dominick, Scranton; a granddaughter, Marnie "Joe Banana Nose" Azzarelli, Scranton; mother-in-law and father in law, Quinto and Susanna Rossi; and his cats, "The Newton Boys" Pejo, Cosmo, Little Guy and Newton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the convenience of the family in St. Benedict's Church. Interment will be in the Italian-American Cemetery.
