Theodore William Krasinski, 87 of S. Abington Twp. and formerly of Cora, NY died Thursday evening at St. Mary's Villa in Elmhurst. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie Teresa Capielo.

Born in Dubois, PA, he was the son of the late John and Stella Okonski Krasinski. He was a graduate of Dubois High School and received his degree from Gannon College. He served our nation in the Air Force during the 1950s and went on to become a New York City fireman. He worked for the Fire Company until 1976 when he was severely injured in a blaze that took the lives of 3 other fireman.

Theodore was a lifelong Catholic, being a parishioner of St. Frances Cabrini Church in Coram,NY and Our Lady of the Snows in Clarks Summit. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Ted enjoyed his daily walks, nature shows and bird watching. He was a big fan of Bing Crosby, John Denver and Jo Stafford. He had a wonderful singing voice and in the day enjoyed singing in the church choir. He loved baseball, and enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates and his favorite players were Roberto Clemente and Carl Yastrzemski. He was an amazing ping pong players and enjoyed watching his favorite golfers and tennis players.

The family would like to thank all of Ted's nurses, doctors, care givers and clergy who enhanced his life in his final years. God bless them for their care and compassion.

Also surviving are two daughters, Emilie Deery and husband Brian, S. Abington Two., Maria Krasinski, New Hampshire: four sons, John Krasinski, Long Island, Stephen Krasinski and wife Stella, Port Jefferson Station, NY, Theodore (Teddy) Krasinski and wife Ellen Clark, Shoreham, NY, Matthew Krasinski, North Carolina; grandchildren, Raymond Deery, Matthew Deery, Lyndsey Grote, Crystal Krasinski, Frank Krasinski, Brian Krasinski, Jason Krasinski and one great-grandchild Avery Krasinski.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Deery.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday November 14 at 11 am at St. Frances Cabrini Church, Coram, NY. Interment with Military honors will follow in Long Island National Cemetery.

Friends may call Monday, November 12 from 4-6pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Josephs Center, Scranton, or Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA.
