Thelma F. Organ

Thelma F. Organ (aka Sis), Nicholson, PA died Saturday morning, October 21, 2017, at Abington Manor in Clarks Summit. She was married April 28, 1956 to PFC Donald J. Organ who preceded her in death on May 28, 1989.

Born in Newark, NJ on August 13, 1935, Thelma was the daughter of the late Benjamin Edmund Jarvis, Sr. and Loretta P. Jarvis, née Schmidt. She raised her family in Bloomfield, New Jersey and her home served as the gathering spot for a tightknit group of neighborhood friends.

She was a loving mother and grandmother always looking after her family. Thelma enjoyed reading, baking, cooking, bird watching and sharing her home with many beloved pets.

Surviving are two daughters, Vicki A. Peterson and her husband Stephen, Nicholson, PA and Diane Organ, Dalton, PA; a brother, Benjamin Edmund Jarvis II; a daughter-in-law Janet (Organ) Pencek; six grandchildren, Keri Derogatis, Katrina and Zachary Organ, Jennifer Reklaitis, Andrew T. Cardone, and Brian Peterson; and great granddaughters Emily and Mackenzie Skye Reklaitis.

Thelma was preceded in death by her son Donald J. Organ, Jr. on April 20, 1992.

All services were private at Thelma's request.
