Steven D. Erickson, 60, of Lake Winola, died unexpectedly Friday. He was the husband of Theresa (Teri) Ward Erickson. The couple celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary this past July.

Born in Mankato, MN, he was the son of Duane Erickson of Mankato, MN and the late Lorraine Spotts Erickson. He was a graduate of Mankato East High School and went on to receive his BS in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Minnesota State University. He was employed as a Vice President – Wealth Management Advisor for Merrill Lynch. He was previously employed in Information Technology at Akzo Nobel, Pillsbury and Kato Engineering.

Steven was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of the Clemo Hunting Club and the Scranton Canoe Club. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and marathon running.

He touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His positive attitude and friendly nature made him a friend to many and he was never shy about lending a helping hand, giving great advice or caring for those around him. He enjoyed most of all spending time with his wife and children; they were the light of his life.

Also surviving is daughter Stacy Erickson of Scranton, PA; and son Kyle Erickson of Philadelphia, PA; father in law, Larry Ward of Bonita Springs, FL.; brothers in law, Rick Miller of Eau Claire, WI and Richard Ward of Mankato, MN; sister in law, Kristine (Terry) Keene of Tucson, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister Julie Miller and his mother in law, Jean Ward.

Friends and family may call Wednesday from 4 to 8pm at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa. 18411. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

A blessing service will be held Thursday at 11am at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA 18411.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
