Steven J. Chapple, 51, of Ransom Twp., died Friday evening as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Willard and Hilda Ruane Chapple, he was a 1979 graduate of Abington Heights High School and was employed as an electrician at Leber Electric. He was a member of IBEW Local 81.
Steve enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting, and loved to work on motorcycles and cars. He also enjoyed driving a race car for Milwaukee Cycle Service. Steve could often be seen with his Rottweiler, Zeus, by his side. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are two brothers, Brian and wife, Brenda, Ransom Twp.; and David, Flagstaff, Ariz.; two nieces, Madison and Brooke; and a nephew, Ben.
A blessing service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
