Sophie Lonaberger, formerly of Clarks Summit, died Sunday night in Spring Hill, Fla. She was the widow of Charles G. Lonaberger, who died in 2004. The couple celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, daughter of the late John and Sophie Melnyk Dudyk, she attended the Church of Our Lady of Snows in Clarks Summit.
She enjoyed cruising with Charlie along with her crafts and counted cross stitch. Their Florida home was their castle in retirement.
Surviving are two daughters, Elaine Taylor and her husband, Ray, Clarks Summit; and Kathy McCoy, Clarks Summit; a son, Charles Lonaberger and his wife, Belinda, Kernersville, N.C.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A blessing service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly.
