Sonja Green, Clarks Summit, died Monday evening at the Jewish Home in Scranton. Her husband is Garfield Green, Clarks Summit, and she was predeceased by her first husband, Louis Maroni.
Born in West Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Wasil and Antoinette Tomosovege Gull. She was a 1954 graduate of West Scranton High School and, prior to her retirement, she was an LPN for the Taylor Nursing Home. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit.
Also surviving are a daughter Cynthia McAndrew; sons Michael, John, Lewis, and James Maroni; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Michael, Alexander, and William Gull, and a sister Mary Krupinski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on August 14 th at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Church by Msgr. Michael J. Delaney, pastor. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at Holy Cross Cemetery in Old Forge.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
