Sarah E. Aldrich Breen, Tunkhannock, died Thursday at home with her family after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband, Vincent D. Breen. The couple was married 57 years.
Born Nov. 24, 1930, in Lakeland, Fla., she graduated from St Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, New York City, in 1952 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She resided in New Milford, N.J., with summers spent in Cherry Valley, N.Y.
While raising her family, she was an active volunteer in the community including local Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and parent-teacher associations. For the past 15 years she was a snowbird residing in Marco Island, Fla.
Also surviving are three children, Barbara McNally and husband, Kevin, Morristown, N.J., Michael Breen and wife, Barbara Jean, Tunkhannock, and Marie Breen Dunbar, New Milford, N.J.; and eight grandchildren, Maureen and Brian McNally, Stephen, Gregory and Timothy Breen and Kyle, Kasey, and Kelly Dunbar.
Services are to be scheduled in the fall at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y.
