Santina Lupini Sebastianelli, 81, of Peckville, died Wednesday evening at Abington Manor Nursing Facility in South Abington Twp. She was the wife of the late Gino Sabastianelli, who died in 2012.
Born in Pascelupo, Perugia, Italy, daughter of the late Mario and Maria Cruciani Lupini, she was employed for some time at Billig Shoe Factory in Peckville.
Her main enjoyment in life was taking care of her family, especially making homemade Italian pasta dinners. She absolutely adored and cherished her grandchildren. They were the apple of her eye.
She came to the U.S. in 1955, leaving behind her extended family, but she would go back with her immediate family, spending long summers visiting. Every day was a celebration at the dinner table with three-hour dinners and five-course meals with 30 at one sitting, and her mother always saying "Mangia, Mangia." We will always remember the special moments we had throughout the years and will cherish them forever.
She is survived by a daughter, Gabriel Angradi, Clarks Summit; a grandson, Robert Anthony Angradi, Washington, D.C.; a granddaughter, Jenna Maria Angradi, New York City; a brother, Luigi Lupini and wife, Rina, Iesi, Italy; a sister, Caterina Paoletti and husband, Umberto, Pascelupo, Perugia, Italy; a sister-in-law, Phelomena Galli, Rome, Italy; a brother-in-law, Enrico Sabastianelli and wife, Flora, Sassoferrato, Italy; two nephews, Mario Lupini and Nazzareno Sebastianelli; six nieces, Anna and Patrizia Lupini, Carla Paoletti, Mariella Rodinis, Lina Tomassini and Anna Lucia Sebastiani; great-nieces, Lucia and Luigi Lupini; and great-nephew, Matia Sebastianelli.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert A. Angradi Sr.; and a brother-in-law, Pietro Galli.
A blessing service will be held Monday at noon, at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. Jeffery Tudgay. Entombment to follow at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
Friends may call Monday from 10 until time of service.
