Sala Iantha Fuller Illing, Glenburn, died Tuesday morning in Newton Twp.

Born March 2, 1926, in Glenburn, daughter of the late Whitefield and Hattie Armstrong Fuller, she lived most of her life in Glenburn. She was a 1945 graduate of Clarks Summit High School and Lackawanna County Business College, Scranton.

Before retirement, she was employed at the Abington Heights School District as the main bookkeeper for 22 years and also worked for 15 years at Cleveland Pneumatic Tool, Cleveland, in purchasing. She was previously employed by C.B. Scott, Megargce Brothers and the Country Club of Scranton.

She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. She enjoyed ice skating, dancing with her family, playing cards and traveling and she especially loved being entertained by her grandchildren, family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Surviving are two sons, Dale, Glenburn; and Terry and wife, Linda, Newton Twp., with whom she resided after being struck by a sudden illness; four grandchildren, Dale and Amanda, Tunkhannock; and Stephanie and Ryan, Newton Twp.; two brothers, Elmer Fuller and wife, Romayne, Macungie, Pa.; and Londale Fuller and wife, Jean, Crestview, Fla.; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lois Fuller Ace.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Lisa Robertson, her staff and Traditional Home Health and Hospice.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Friends may call Friday, 4 until the time of the service.
