Sadie Elnora Owens of Jermyn died Friday morning at Golden Living Health Care in Tunkhannock. She was the widow of James A. Owens, who died in 1996.
Born in Montdale, daughter of the late Earl and Eva May Cook Grosvenor, she was a resident of Jermyn most of her life and was a member of the Worth Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Alice Lukaschunis and her husband, Robert, Meshoppen; and Elnora Conway, Jermyn; a son, James R. Owens, West Nicholson; a sister, Iona Vosberg, Olyphant; a brother, Earl Grosvenor Jr., Blakely; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Dale A. Owens; two granddaughters, Kimberly Cook and Wanda Keene; a sister, Frances Valentine; and two brothers, Curtis and Richard Grosvenor.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be in Cook Cemetery, Benton Twp.
