Ruth Elizabeth Sullivan, 98, Clarks Summit, formerly of Baltimore, died Sunday at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pa., Scranton. She was the widow of Vance R. Sullivan, who died in 1964.
Born in Baltimore, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Ehman Savin, she had been a resident of the area for nearly seven years.
She was a former member of Trinity Episcopal Church, the Lutherville Garden Club and the League of Women Voters.
She was of an artistic nature and was proud of the fact she attended the prestigious Maryland Institute of Art, in the family tradition. She especially enjoyed working with water colors.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Martin and husband, Gary, Clarks Summit; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Richmond, in 2001.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit.
