Ruth Doris Simmons, Factoryville, died Sunday evening at her home.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Stanley G. and Doris L. Beckert Simmons. Prior to her retirement, she was a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery for the former Mercy Hospital, Scranton. She attended Peckville Assembly of God.
Surviving are two brothers, Kenneth Simmons and his wife Deborah of Peckville, and Robert Simmons; a sister, Judith Bates of Factoryville; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
