Ruth Naomi Evans of Clarks Summit died Sunday evening at the VNA Hospice Unit at Community Medical Center, Scranton. She was the wife of the late Robert D. Evans, who died in 2006.
Born in West Pittston, she was the daughter of the late David and Gladys Fine Roberts. She was a graduate of Falls Overfield High School and was employed by the Village Green Gift Shop for many years. Ruth was a member of Falls United Methodist Church and its ladies auxiliary.
Ruth also was a tremendous baker and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are a son, Robert, Newton Twp.; two grandchildren, Vanessa and Robert Evans; several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Charles and Glen Roberts, and a sister, Phyllis Jones.
The funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice Unit, 1800 Mulberry St., Scranton, PA 18501.
