Rosemary A. Isbitski, Scranton, died last Thursday evening at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth Allgood Bannon. Prior to her retirement, she was a seamstress and a member of St. John Neumann Parish at Nativity Church. Rosemary was an avid reader, and always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at Lutherwood.
Surviving are a daughter Cathy O'Malley and her husband Mark, Scranton; a son Chuck Parry and his wife Renee, Glenburn; grandchildren Courtney Chuff and her husband Chris, Glen Mills, Lauren O'Malley, Philadelphia, and Emily Parry, Glenburn; great-grandson Conor Chuff, Glen Mills; brothers Jack Bannon and his wife Julie, Scranton; Robert Bannon, Dunmore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Donald, Eugene, and Phillip Bannon, and five sisters Lois Borgna, Joan Steinetz, Elizabeth Duffy, Mary Lou Seidita, and Gail Simone.
Her family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the entire staff at Geisinger CMC and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their compassionate care. Also, to her wonderful friends at Lutherwood, for years of love, support, and friendship.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. John Neumann Parish at Nativity Church, 633 Orchard St, Scranton, PA 18505. Internment will be private. Friends may call on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of mass at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 William Street, Dunmore, PA 18512.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit Pa.
