Rose Marie Watson, Clarks Summit, died Thursday afternoon at Northeast Regional Hospice in Scranton. She was the widow of Ralph Watson, who died in 1980.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Goldie Smith Walter. She was a member of the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church and Abington Memorial VFW Post 7069. Prior to her husband's death, they were proprietors of Davis Variety Store, Clarks Summit.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra Yokavonis, Wilkes-Barre; and Gail Watson, with whom she resided; her companion of 29 years is James Jackson; a brother, Philip Headley, Centermoreland; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Vanburen Headley, Dorrance Headley and John Walter; and two sisters, Mary Gilpin and Harriet Sherman.
The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, by the Rev. Judy Wanck, pastor, Clarks Summit United Methodist Church. Burial, Clarks Green Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, from 5 to 9 p.m.
