Dr. Rosanne Cech

Dr. Rosanne Cech, 67, of Clarks Summit, PA, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021. At her side was her husband of nearly 42 years, Dr. Gregory Borowski.

Born in Bethlehem, PA, to the late John and Margaret Moconyi Cech, Rosanne was a graduate of Allentown College of St. Francis DeSales. She completed her medical training at Hahnemann Medical College, where she met Gregory, followed by Mercy Hospital Pittsburgh for Pediatric residency and Thomas Jefferson University for Allergy & Immunology Fellowship.

Dr. Cech served the community in Northeastern Pennsylvania as a Pediatric and Adult Allergist for 33 years before her retirement in 2017. She was a compassionate physician with a large heart, evidenced by the many patients that would stop her in public to thank her for caring for them. She had an amazing ability to remember each and every one of those patients with astonishing detail. Rosanne's later years were spent traveling the US and Europe with friends and family. Her greatest joy in retirement was caring for oldest granddaughter, Margot, and being surrounded by those she loved.

Rosanne was preceded in death by her brother James, and is survived by her brother and sister-in-law David and Jean Cech, brother Edward Kelleher, daughters and sons-in-law Lynne and Paul Shwed, Lauren and Gabriel Scher, and Genna and Kyle Whitman, and granddaughters Margot and Dahlia Scher.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 31 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit, by Msgr. Michael J. Delaney, pastor. Cremation and private interment will be held at a later date.  Friends may call on Friday, July 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
