Ronald Clark Mackay, 65, of Clarks Summit, has passed over to a place of peace on Monday evening. His family was the utmost to him in the end. He was the husband of Margaret Kearney Mackay. The couple has been married for 17 years.
Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Warner and Marjorie Jane Hugus Mackey. He was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School, and went on to graduate from Penn State University with a master's in public administration and Latin American studies. He was employed as a court administrator for Lackawanna County.
Ron was a loving husband and father who enjoyed his ham radio and had a great love for animals. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Also surviving are a son, Garrett Clark Mackay, Clarks Summit; two daughters, Shannan Rhae Mackay Hays, Houston, Texas; and Tyler Mackay, Dallas, Texas; a grandson, Brandon Cooper Hays; a sister, Lynn Dahnert, Rockford, Ill.; a niece, Elizabeth Circle and her husband, Gregory II; a nephew, Steven York, West Virginia; and a great-nephew, Gregory Circle III.
A memorial Mass will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 N. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling hours.
