Ronald T. Demuth, 80, years young, of Dingmans Ferry passed away at home on Wednesday Sept. 23, 2015.
Born in Chicago, Ill to parents the late Fredrick Anton and Rose(Andersack) DeMuth on November 11, 1934.
He was the youngest of four children. He received his education from the University of Michigan 1953-58 with an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the Army,1958-59, then went on to teach at Sanford University in Sunnyvale, Ca. before entering the business world. While working for Lockeed Missiles his design was selected for the Poseidon Missile by Admiral Rickover. His engineering career
included working for many large corporations, General Electric, Raytheon Missile Systems, Avco-Lycoming, Boston Edison Co, and twelve years with General Public Utilities in Parsippany, NJ. He was known as a nuclear engineering specialist and lectured in many places including Germany and Japan. He was asked to help with the investigation of the 1979 Three Mile Isle Nuclear accident.
Following his retirement he moved to Cape Cod to do watercolor paintings. He loved food and did catering especially for his brothers in the Masonic Order. In 2002 he relocated to Charleston,SC, were he discovered discovered oil painting and created many beautiful landscapes which can be seen at the Artery Gallery in Milford,Pa.
Ron and his first wife, Carla Martin DeMuth, (diseased) had two children, Gregory and Suzanne.
Ron married Anne Tripp, Feburary 15,1997 in Mountain Lakes,Nj, and has three step children: Julie(John) Bongard, Steven Tripp, Edward Tripp (diseased) and Peter Tripp,and four grandchildren,Thor Bongard, Sam Tripp, Julie Hannah Wardand Thorvals Arnell.
Ron loved to travel visited, Malta,England, France, Norway, Spain, Alaska, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic and enjoyed many cruises.
At the time of his death he was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and the Sons of Norway.
Ron was a very private person, he hated being sick, suffered with Atrial Fibrillation(AFIB) and had a Pacemaker,and was diagnosed with Alzheimers this January, 2015 and was told he had it for six years.
