Robert Burns White III, Factoryville formerly of Clarks Summit died Saturday afternoon at his home. His wife is the former Dorothy Parry, the couple married in 1964.
Born in Scranton on May 27, 1940, he was the son of the late Robert B. White, Jr. and the late Florence Swales He was a 1959 graduate of West Scranton High School and prior to his retirement he was the team leader at Anemostate Corporation in Scranton for 43 years. Robert was the Stewart for his Sheet Metal Union Local 550 and a member of the Community of Christ Church, serving as their treasurer. He was also a member of the Scranton Chapter of the Barbershop Singers.
Bob was a Navy Veteran who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and reading. His pride and joy was watching his children and grandchildren playing sports.
Also surviving are a daughter, Lisa D. White and her husband, Anthony, Auburn, PA; two sons, Christopher P. White and his wife Elizabeth, Factoryville and Robert B. White IV and his wife Patsy, Andover, NJ ; six grandchildren, Bryar, Keegan, Corbin, Korrine, Robert, and Matthew.
He was preceded in death by two sisters Margaret Ann Kupchak and Susan Graham.
Bob's family would like to extend their deepest thanks to Dr. Martin Hyzinski, his staff, and the staff at Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their care and compassion.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 6pm from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
Friends may call from 5pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
