Robert Fritsch, Sr., Dalton, died Tuesday at Regional Hospital in Scranton. His wife was the late Carol Fritsch who died in 2014. The couple had been married since June 13, 1969.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late William and Margaret Bevan Fritsch. Prior to retirement he was a diesel mechanic for AIM Nationalease for more than twenty five years. He loved working on the big trucks, and was a jack of all trades who could fix anything.
He enjoyed playing softball with his wife and took great pride in the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. He loved watching on facebook the pro fishing tournaments that his granddaughter Kara and her fiance Shaun participated in, and was really looking forward to his grandson Brandon's upcoming racing career.
Surviving is a son, Robert Fritsch Jr. and his wife, Sandy, Clarks Summit; a daughter, Jeanne Vales and her husband, Robert, Dalton; two sisters, Debbie Stull and her husband Edward; Judy Mitchell and her husband Donald, both of Dalton; two brothers, James Fritsch and his wife Arlene; William Fritsch and his wife Romayne, both of Dalton; two grandchildren, Kara Vales and her fiance Shaun Kucharski, and Brandon Fritsch; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
