Robert David Reidenbach of Clarks Summit passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on Tuesday morning, March 19th, 2013 at Abington Manor Nursing Home.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Laura (Dorothy) Anderson Reidenbach. Robert was born in Scranton on September 8th, 1944, the son of the late Charles and Rachel Reidenbach.

Robert was a 1962 graduate of Scranton High School, Keystone College, Lebanon Valley College, and earned a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Scranton. He taught in the Social Studies department at the Abington Height's High School for 37 years, in such time he was awarded the Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year Award in 1973.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit, an avid outdoorsman, and historian. He enjoyed hunting with the Winona Falls Hunting club, boating with his sons, and antiquing.

Robert is survived by three sons. Moses and his wife Dawn of Newtown, PA, Matthew and his wife Jennie of Charlottesville, VA, and Seth of South Montrose, PA. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Reese Reidenbach of Newtown, PA.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit on Thursday, March 21st, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. by the Reverend Brent Stouffer.

Friends may call to pay their condolences from 4:00 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
