Robert Jones

Robert J. Jones , 55, Clarks Summit, died at home on Tuesday afternoon.

Born in Scranton, the son of the late Robert J. Jones and Ann Gaughan Jones , he was a graduate of Valley View High School and Lackawanna College and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church.  Robert worked at WEA Manufacturing for 20 years.

He was a volunteer at the animal shelter and liked to go fishing and cheer for the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Robert was a loving and caring man who was always there for others and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving are sisters, Karen Kovaleski and husband, Joseph, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Marie Ferguson and husband, Dale, Dickson City; Margaret Sweeney and husband, Philip, Peckville; and Barbara Spryn and husband, Robert, Melbourne, Fla. Robert is also survived by nieces, Kim Laboranti and husband, Joseph, Peckville; Colleen Penzone, Peckville; Joseph Kovaleski, Philadelphia; Justin Kovaleski, Vail, Colo.; Kyle Ferguson and wife, Justina, Dunmore; Aprile Sweeney, Philadelphia; Hillary Spryn, Colorado Springs, Colo.; many great-nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to thank cousins Gerry Moran and Heather Shoemacker for their friendship to Robert.

A Graveside Service will be held Sept. 4 at 10:00 a.m. from the St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Archbald

Arrangements under the care of the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter.
