Robert "Bobby" Barrett

Robert Barrett, 77, of Eynon died Wednesday at Lackawanna Health& Rehab, Peckville. His wife is the former Becky Williams.  The couple had been married 34 years.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Michael and Betty Ahearn Barrett.  Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force, then became certified as an Electrician.  He was employed with IBEW Local 81 for over 50 years. He enjoyed cars and animals and believed in hard work, truth, perseverance, and faith in Jesus Christ.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children:  Robert Barrett, Clarks Summit, Kellie Johnson, Lake Ariel, Robin Bonnaci, Dunmore, David Barrett, Dunmore; stepchildren Nick Waitulavich, Harding, and Gary Waitulavich, Carbondale; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers: Michael Barrett, Thailand, and Thomas Barrett, Washington; sisters Eileen Barrett and Lisa Montella, both of Waverly.

Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Gail McNulty.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
