Robert E. Allen, Dalton died Saturday morning at the Pines Senior Living in Clarks Summit.  His widow is the former Gloy Hanneman, the couple was married for 65 years.

Born in Moline Illinois, he was the son of the late Arthur and Alphild Benson.  Prior to his retirement he worked for J C Penney for 35 years ending his career in New York City in the marketing department as Sales and Promotions Manager.  He was a proud Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

Bob received Christ at age 20 and was a member of Baptist churches in Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, New Jersey and currently Heritage Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board and was leader of Senior Adult Bible Fellowship.  He served on the Board of Trustees of Baptist Bible College since 1970, now Clarks  Summit University, volunteered as a special assistant to the President of BBC& S, served as interim President for one year and was Chairman of the Board for 9 years.

Also surviving is a daughter Lisa Konzelman and her husband Rich ; a son Robb Allen and his wife Lina:  five grandchildren Kristen Hamilton, Jon Konzelman, Lauren Konzelman, Haley Allen, and Collin Allen and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Marie and brother, William.

Bob's family would like to thank the staff at The Pines and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their warm and compassionate care.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 6:30 pm at the Heritage Baptist Church, 415 Venard Rd., Clarks Summit, PA  18411.  Friends may come to the church from 5:30 pm until the time of the service.   Interment was held in Clarks Green Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Scranton School for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children,  537 Venard Rd., Clarks Summit, PA 18411
