Richard W. Webster, of Dalton, died Saturday morning in his home surrounded by his family. His wife is the former Linell Couzens. The couple married in 1987.
Born in Grove City, Pa he was the son of the late Henry Wayne and Helen Marie Phillips Webster. Prior to his retirement he was the Senior Vice President for PNC Bank. He was a Marine Corps veteran serving his country during the Korean war. He enjoyed his part time job transporting students for Holy Cross School. Richard was an avid golfer, attended Parker Hill Community Church, and enjoyed spending time with his friends at the monthly dinner club as well as the men's breakfast at the Blue Bird Diner.
Surviving are his two sons Wayne Webster, New York City, NY, Mark Webster and his wife Jennifer, Alexandra, VA, daughter, Mary Abbott and her husband Ron, Pittsburgh, PA; his three sisters, Rebecca Bennett, Grove City, PA, Carol Maeda, Honolulu, HI and Rosemary McAninch, Carrollton, TX; four grandchildren Troy, Eric, Grace Abbott and Anna Webster; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Vidile and brother Ralph E. Webster.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gilbert, Dr. Heim, and Prime Med as well as all of the staff for their compassionate care. Gita and Mayur Patel at the Dalton Pharmacy were also a wonderful support to the family.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am in the Parker Hill Community Church, 607 N. Abington Rd., Clarks Summit PA with services by Rev. Paul Bell, associate pastor. Interment with military honors will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery in Dalton.
Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the church.
