Richard E. Miller, Clarks Summit died Tuesday morning at his home. He was the widower of Edith O'Connor Miller who died November 8, 2011.

Born in Maine, he was the son of the late Ellsworth and Evelyn Miller. Prior to retirement he worked for Empire Landfill. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church and belonged to the Antique Car Club.

Surviving are a son, Richard Miller and his wife Donna, Pittston; two daughters, Karen Malsam, Browndale and Debbie Miller, Clarks Summit; two brothers, Ronald Miller, Pittston and Gary Miller, FL; five grandchildren, Jennifer Gerrity-Hickerman, Billy Loughney, Michele Miller, Marissa Miller, Lindsey Miller; three great grandchildren, Carter Jermano, Abigale Ross, Claire Booth.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Socci.

A blessing service will be held on Thursday at 8 pm by Msgr. James McGarry, in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 until time of the service at the Funeral Home.
