Richard P. Kish Sr. died Friday night at the Mercy Hospice Unit. His wife is the former Gail Yarns Wesolowski. They married in May 2007. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grayce? Jean Palmiter Kish.

Born in Dunmore, he was the son of the late Stephen and Anna Rice Kish. Before retirement, he was a sheet-metal worker for Endicott Precision, where he was the first-hired employee who loved and was dedicated to his work for 43 years.

His passion was NASCAR and Ford Mustangs. He enjoyed his trips to the casinos and going to his stepson, Andy's, place. His beloved dog, Coco, was a great comfort to him during his illness. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Mercy Hospice for their compassion and care.

Also surviving are two sons, Richard Jr. and wife, Joellen, Olyphant; and Stephen, Endicott, N.Y.; two stepsons, Edward Wesolowski, Scranton, and Andrew Wesolowski, Lanesboro; three grandchildren, Grayce, Austin and ?Sybastian; five stepgrandchildren, Joshua, Emily, Matthew, Jacob and Chelsea; a brother, Stephen, Scranton; and a sister, June Hafner, Moscow.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. Glenn White, pastor of Clarks Green Assembly of God. Interment will be in Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Twp.

Friends may call Monday, 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice, 746 Jefferson Ave., Scranton, PA 18510-1624.
