Regina M. Volivitch, 89, of Chinchilla, died Friday evening at the Riverside Nursing and Rehab Center in Taylor. She was the wife of James S. Volivitch, who died in 2002.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Gullen Lysak, she was a graduate of Waverly High School and retired from Gentape Corp. in Bloomfield, N.J., after working there for 20 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Ann Knight, Cleveland, Tenn.; and a granddaughter, Virginia Knight, Seattle, Wash.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Lewis, Neubert, Leonard and Aloysius Lysak.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from Mary, Mother of God Parish, 316 William St., Scranton, by the Rev. Cyril D. Edwards, pastor. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Scott Twp.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
